Pretty In Peach πŸ‘

Bonjour Mes Amours!

The colour pink has officially been declared the new black, by Topshop, Zuhair Murad and the runway. I, however, am not a huge fan of the colour because I feel it to be too girly, too childish and too bright.

So, in true trend-setter fashion (excuse the extreme exaggeration), I decided to wear a modest yet bold peach abaya, which made an 'I Make The Rules Of Fashion' statement while still sticking to the trend that has been making waves recently.

About this look:
Abaya - Pietermaritzburg Dressmaker
The abaya was sewn by a local dress maker, and was made to fit my exact body shape and size.
Hijab - Hanayan
The colours of the hijab makes it so pretty and feminine, with a slightly bold edge. The clash of prints such as leopard spots and the many tones ranging from dark brown to the lightest creams, makes it possible to wear it with many abayas, regardless of colour.
For people who don't wear Hijab, this can be used as a neck scarf to add an extra touch to your outfit.
Leggings - Rage
Although I can't give you any shots of the outfits I pair these leggings with for the sake of modesty, I will give a few outfit ideas. What I generally wear is a cropped black and white jersey with fur, with a longer black inner inside. However, it is extremely versatile and can be paired with literally anything.
Bag - Accessorize
A simple bag that has enough space for just a few items, but is able to hold the essentials for every woman.
Denim Jacket - Next!
A relative gifted me this amazing denim jacket three years ago and lo and behold, it still fits me! (It was from the Kiddies section back then!) Although I'm not sure if you will be able to find an exact replica of the jacket now, a denim jacket is perfect to pair with anything. Currently G-Star Raw and Factorie have cool bomber and denim jackets.
Shoes - Rage
I picked up this pair of beauts by accident, but till date it is one of my favourites. Someone had been trying it on in Rage when I was there and I asked to have a look, and I managed to bag a pair.
